{"id":3779,"date":"2022-04-27T09:45:48","date_gmt":"2022-04-27T09:45:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.booksofall.com\/ru\/?post_type=product&#038;p=3779"},"modified":"2022-05-25T08:45:08","modified_gmt":"2022-05-25T08:45:08","slug":"vision-health-and-the-future-of-work-an-underrecognized-priority-for-governments-and-employers-in-the-21st-century","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.booksofall.com\/ru\/vision-health-and-the-future-of-work-an-underrecognized-priority-for-governments-and-employers-in-the-21st-century\/","title":{"rendered":"VISION HEALTH AND THE FUTURE OF WORK: An Underrecognized Priority for Governments and Employers in the 21st Century"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This report highlights the growing importance of preventing avoidable <a href=\"https:\/\/kidshealth.org\/en\/teens\/visual-impairment.html\">visual impairments<\/a> and the cascading consequences across healthcare and the 21<sup>st<\/sup> century workplace should visual impairments remain unaddressed.<\/p>\n<p>The infographic calls for multiple levels of action to address avoidable age-related visual impairments through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>greater action by policymakers and employers to support employee vision health,<\/li>\n<li>increased employee awareness of their own<a href=\"https:\/\/www.webmd.com\/eye-health\/good-eyesight\"> vision health<\/a> and the importance of prevention, early diagnosis and care,<\/li>\n<li>further research on the impacts of age-related visual impairments on employee productivity, participation, and quality of life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><b>The workplace of the future is already here.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">People are working differently and working longer. Widespread unaddressed visual impairment has important implications for workplace productivity. Failure to address age-related visual impairments will increasingly define and limit the future of work.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/presbyopia\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20363328\">Presbyopia<\/a> is a common and often unaddressed visual impairment that worsens with age and results in an inability to focus at near distances.<br \/>\n\u2022 The effects of presbyopia and other age-related visual impairments often begin around age 40, when many people are in the prime of their working lives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><iframe style=\"width: 100%; height: 600px; border: none;\" src=\"https:\/\/online.visual-paradigm.com\/community\/embedded-book\/gcoa-vision-and-future-of-work-factsheet-xnbbilnb0?enforceShowPromotionBar=true\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":3781,"template":"","meta":{"_yoast_wpseo_title":"","_yoast_wpseo_metadesc":"Best infographic editor guide -
