Like everyone, we were Linux newbies when we started playing with Linux<\/a> in the summer of 1998. Throughout these years we have tried many distributions (Debian<\/a>, Redhat\/Fedora<\/a>, Mandriva, Slackware<\/a>, and Zenwalk<\/a>). The solutions within this guide were written with mostly RedHat\/Fedora and Mandriva<\/a> in mind, so the solutions might not be directly applicable to other Linux distributions (although most of them are). Hope this helps; we try to be as practical as possible. Of course, we provide no warranty whatsoever.
