What do we mean by <\/span>Close the care gap<\/em><\/a>?<\/span><\/h4>\n

We mean: <\/span>Cancer is a disease <\/span>that affects everyone.<\/span>
But very often, who we are and <\/span>where we live determine the level <\/span>and quality of the care we receive, <\/span>not the care we need.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do we mean by \u201cinequity<\/em>\u201d<\/a>?<\/span><\/h4>\n

In healthcare, inequality refers to the uneven distribution of resources. <\/span>By contrast, inequity means unjust, avoidable differences in care <\/span>or health outcomes. <\/span>The difference may seem subtle, but closing the cancer care gap isn\u2019t <\/span>about simply providing everyone with equal resources. <\/span>One size doesn\u2019t fit all and every challenge demands a different solution. <\/span>Equity is about giving everyone what they need to bring them up to the same level.<\/span><\/p>\n
