We are actively committed to increasing the accessibility and usability of the textbooks we produce.<\/p>\n<p>Accessibility features of the web version of this resource<\/p>\n<p>The web version of the Pressbooks Guide has been designed with accessibility in mind by incorporating the following features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It has been optimized for people who use<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nomensa.com\/blog\/what-screen-reader\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> screen-reader technology<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>all content can be navigated using a keyboard.<\/li>\n<li>links, headings, and tables are formatted to work with screen readers.<\/li>\n<li>All images in this guide are screenshots that are considered non-essential as they are described fully in the text. As such, they do not include alt tags.<\/li>\n<li>Information is not conveyed by colour alone.<\/li>\n<li>There is an option to increase font size. (See tab on top right of screen titled, \u201cIncrease Font Size.\u201d)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Other file formats available<\/h3>\n<p>In addition to the web version, this book is available in a number of file formats including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adobe.com\/acrobat\/about-adobe-pdf.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PDF<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifewire.com\/what-is-an-epub-file-2621084\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EPUB<\/a> (for eReaders), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifewire.com\/what-is-a-mobi-file-2621997\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MOBI<\/a> (for Kindles), and various editable files. Here is a link to where you can download this book in another file format. Look for the Download this book drop-down menu to select the file type you want.<\/p>\n<h3>Known accessibility issues and areas for improvement<\/h3>\n<p>While we strive to ensure that this resource is as accessible and usable as possible, we might not always get it right. Any issues we identify will be listed below.
